2020 is a year which will undoubtedly go down in history, there will be (and has been) lots written about it and everyone will have a story to tell. this is mine. i was walking around a graveyard (not in a moody goth type of way, it's the only bit of green near my house) and was drawn to the sound of some windchimes. they weren’t the usual off key clanging type but a set of two which complemented each other and created a pleasing melody, ever changed by the subtle undulations of the natural environment. as i got closer i noticed they were on a grave for someone named sally. i thought it was a nice way to honour and celebrate someone's life and took me in as a stranger and produced a beautiful moment. it sort of put everything into perspective slightly as on the horizon was the certainty of a global outbreak of covid-19 and the imminent birth of my son.
so here you go, 2020 the musical, life, death and everything in between in 20 minutes and 20 seconds.
